Meet the SAILS Leadership Team

The SAILS team is passionate about helping high school graduates with ASD to be successful in college and make the most of their abilities in a career. Our team has a wealth of knowledge and experience in helping job seekers with differing abilities to succeed in a job. We are thrilled to work with first and second year college students at Seattle Central to select and succeed in courses that will help them get a job that makes the most of their abilities.

Alison has been involved with the disability community throughout her professional career. Alison joined Mainstay in 1987, initially as an Employment Specialist, then as Assistant Director, and now as Director. Alison initiated and co-developed the SAILs program in 2014. Prior to joining Mainstay, Alison worked in a variety of settings including a state hospital, a community-based residential program, an advocacy/resource development program, and an employment agency. Alison has a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (C.R.C.).

Weston graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.A. in History. He began working with the special needs community in 2006 as a teacher’s assistant and substitute teacher. Until 2012 Weston was a case manager for the State of Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Weston joined the Mainstay team in 2012 and in 2013 was promoted to program coordinator. In 2014 Weston also became the SAILS program coordinator. Students, supported workers, and employers appreciate Weston’s enthusiasm, dedication and passion for helping supported students and workers achieve their full potential.
